A24 has staked out April 3, 2026 for its Zendaya and Robert Pattinson romantic comedy, The Drama.
Pic is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario). The project, which is under wraps, also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates.
While the plot is being kept secret, word is the movie is about a romance that takes an unexpected turn before their big day.
Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen will produce the film through their Square Peg banner, with Kristoffer Borgli and Tyler Campellone producing under Dilemma Films, in collaboration with A24.
The Drama will serve as counterprogramming over the Easter holiday weekend against Illumination/Nintendo’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
A24 of late has veered into the rom-com and romance drama sphere with titles such as Celine Song’s The Materialists starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal (which grossed close to $105 million worldwide), and John Crowley’s We Live in Time starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh ($57M-plus at the global box office).
