Yankees’ Anthony Volpe undergoes shoulder surgery

Anthony Volpe underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, The Post has learned, further clouding his status heading into 2026.

Yankees team doctor Chris Ahmad performed the procedure, which represented a rough end to a difficult season for the shortstop.

The typical recovery would have Volpe ready for the regular season, a source said, but it is based on the progress of recovery.

That only creates more questions about Volpe’s place in the Yankees’ future heading into his fourth year in the big leagues, after spending five-plus months of this season playing through the injury to his non-throwing shoulder that he initially sustained in May.
