For the time being, it looks like it will be the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra that Xiaomi offers globally, just like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and smaller Xiaomi 15 before it (curr. $890 on Amazon). Currently, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to feature more advanced camera hardware than the rest of the Xiaomi 17 series. However, XiaomiTime now reports that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will miss out one of the Pro and Pro Max’s key features.
Namely, the website asserts that Xiaomi will not include a secondary display inside its next Ultra-branded smartphone, despite doing so with the Mi 11 Ultra. Instead, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is said to offer satellite connectivity across its 2512BPNDAG global and 2512BPNDAC model variants. While India is also set to receive the Xiaomi 17 Ultra as 2512BPNDAI, XiaomiTime believes that this variant will drop satellite connectivity altogether.
