WWE Raw preview: Seth Rollins explains how he pulled off the greatest lie in WWE

Raw airs tonight (Aug. 4) with a live show from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This is the first episode of Raw during the four week build to Clash in Paris, which takes place on Aug. 31.

Seth Rollins explains how he pulled off the greatest lie in WWE

One of the biggest stories coming out of SummerSlam is Seth Rollins ‘ruse of the century’ where he faked a knee injury on crutches in order to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on his hated rival, CM Punk, and become the new world heavyweight champion. Rollins will almost surely show up in the ring tonight on Raw to brag about making a fool out of so many people and to explain how he had the vision to pull off such a masterful scheme.

Speaking of The Vision, Seth’s alliance with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed now holds way more power on Raw. And they’ll need all that power because many of WWE’s top babyfaces are pissed off and will be coming after them from here. I’m talking about Punk, Roman Reigns, and Jey Uso, at the very least, and SmackDown star LA Knight as well. In fact, the megastar is the one who shared the ring with Seth and beat him when he first faked the knee injury, so LA has a great argument about deserving a title match against this lying liar who lies.

There’s also the fact that Brock Lesnar is now back in WWE, and he has an obvious long history with Heyman. Could he possibly enter this story once he’s done taking babyface John Cena to suplex city again?

What does Seth Rollins have to say about being such a damn good liar, and which babyface will get the first crack at his world title? Tune into tonight’s Raw to find out.

The rest of the card

Sheamus vs. Rusev is happening for the third time tonight on Raw, after they recently split their first two matches. Rusev hasn’t done much of anything to stand out so far in WWE, and live audiences are quiet for him. Will he do something to change that tonight so he can beat the Celtic Warrior and move on to a new story?

Other stuff to keep an eye on

– Stephanie Vaquer is next in line to challenge Women’s World Champion Naomi at Clash in Paris. Will Stephanie confront the champ tonight and let her know that the clock is ticking on her title reign, or should Vaquer proceed with caution?

Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch doesn’t have to worry about Lyra Valkyria ever fighting her for the belt again after Bayley accidentally caused Lyra to lose against her at SummerSlam. Is it time for a new challenger like Asuka or WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella to come after Becky’s belt for the PLE in Paris?

– Is there an update on how GUNTHER is doing after his nose was busted by CM Punk at SummerSlam? Does the Ring General need surgery and/or time off, as rumored?

– There are at least two wrestlers in WWE currently running around as El Grande Americano. How many more will there be by the time tonight’s show wraps up?

– Now that Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are the new WWE women’s tag team champions, do they plan to make regular appearances on Raw?

– Is Karrion Kross on his way out of WWE after Sami Zayn beat him at SummerSlam and proved that the guy is full of shit?

– Rhea Ripley has still never beaten IYO SKY. Does she plan to do something about that ASAP, or is it a bigger priority to figure out how to earn another shot at the women’s world title?

– Is AJ Styles done pursuing Intercontinental Championship Dominik Mysterio after that little shithead channeled his inner Eddie Guerrero to beat the Phenomenal One at SummerSlam?

– Grayson Waller’s attempt to become friends with the New Day earned him an ass kicking by Sheamus last week. Which babyface will pound his ass into oblivion tonight?

– Does WWE creative have anything for Penta?

– Where the f*** is Omos?

What will you be looking for on Raw?
