WWE NXT Match Results, Highlights and Key Moments for September 2, 2025

Tonight’s WWE NXT airing September 2, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Capitol Wrestling Center (WWE Performance Center) in Orlando, Florida. WWE NXT Results (9/2/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Corey Graves welcoming us as Jaida Parker makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Lash Legend follows.

Singles Match: Jaida Parker vs. “The Boujee Bully” Lash Legend

The match starts off with Lash pushing Jaida and Jaida pushes Lash back. Both women then lock up and Jaida hits a slap. Lash then sends Jaida into the corner and hits her with shoulders. Lash then gets Jaida up, but Jaida escapes and sends Lash into the corner and hits her with some shoulders. Lash then sends Jaida into the ropes and hits her with a shoulder tackle followed by a splash for a near fall. Jaida then tries to float over, but Lash holds on and sends Jaida’s head into the top and middle rope. Jaida then goes for a sunset flip and Lash windmills to stay on her feet. Jaida then hits a forearm and some arm wringers. Jaida then hits a knee to the midsection and a rollup for a near fall. Jaida then hits a crucifix for a near fall. Jaida then cinches in an arm bar. Lash then hits a forearm and she goes for a slam, but Jaida escapes. Lash then holds on to the ropes when Jaida goes for an O’Connor Roll. Lash then sends Jaida to the apron. Jaida then hits a forearm.

Jaida then goes up top and she hits a cross body, but because she slips on the turnbuckles, she doesn’t hit it perfectly. Jaida then gets a few near falls. Jaida then puts Lash in the ropes and Jaida hits the springboard seated splash attempt, but Lash grabs Jaida by the throat and hits a choke slam for a near fall. The referee then checks on Jaida to see if she can continue. Lash then hits a knee to the midsection and a rear chin lock. Lash then turns it into a reverse chin lock. Lash then hits a knee and an Irish whip, but she runs into a boot. Lash then blocks a kick and she hits a forearm. Lash then hits more forearms in the ropes. Lash then hits an Irish whip and a clothesline. Lash then gets a near fall.

Lash then cinches in a bear hug. Jaida then hits some elbows, but Lash adds more pressure with the bear hug. Jaida then hits some head butts to escape. Lash then hits a chop. Lash then hits a slam and she misses a splash when Jaida rolls away. Jaida then hits some forearms on Lash followed by punches. Jaida then hits a shoulder tackle, but Lash does not move. Jaida then hits a shoulder tackle and a flying shoulder tackle. Jaida then hits a running hip into the corner followed by a suplex attempt, but Lash escapes. Jaida then hits a lungblower.

Jaida then hits a blockbuster for a near fall. Lash then hits a knee and a uranage back breaker for a near fall. Lash then misses a shoulder and hits the ring post. Jaida then puts Lash in the ropes for the springboard seated splash. Jaida then gets Lash up for a Samoan drop and Lash goes to the floor and Jaida holds on by the hair. Jaida then gets Lash up, but Lash hits a bicycle kick on the floor. Lash then hits the Lash Extension onto to the announce desk. Lash then sends Jaida back into the ring and Lash hits another Lash Extension for the win.

The winner of the Singles Match, “The Boujee Bully” Lash Legend!

After the match, an enraged Parker blindsides Legend from behind on the entrance ramp and sends her crashing into the ring steps shoulder first. Parker then hits a Hip Attack on Legend that sends her crashing through two of the barricades.

We then see Blake Monroe with Arianna Grace and they talk about make up. Blake says she likes someone who knows about fashion and glamour. Blake then says she thought she was done with Jordynne Grace, but Grace attacked her. Arianna then says she doesn’t like her either and they are not related. Jordynne then shows up and Blake leaves. Kali Armstrong then yells at Jordynne for interrupting her NXT debut. Kali then tells Jordynne she has a problem with her.

We then see Je’Von Evans walking in the backstage area.

Je’Von Evans then makes his way down to the ring. Evans then starts off by saying he appreciates the fans. Evans then says he knows the fans expect him to come to the ring and be excited, but after Heatwave he doesn’t think that he can do that. Evans then says he thought he had Oba Femi when he beat Trick Williams in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and while WWE Legends had given him great advice, Heatwave felt different. Evans then says he felt nervous and if there was any night he was going to be NXT Champion, it was August 24. Evans then says he called his baby sister to tell her that her older brother would be the youngest NXT Champion in history, but he didn’t do that.

Evans then says he heard the referee count to three, but he saw Femi’s foot under the rope. Evans then says that’s when Femi capitalized and before he knew it, Femi’s hand was raised in the air. He then apologies to then fans for letting them down, then says he also feels like he let himself down and didn’t talk to anyone about his feelings for a good week.

We then see someone driving a motorcycle appear on the big screen and they get off of it as Evans tells them that he isn’t playing around. The Undertaker’s gong then sounds, but Josh Briggs instead appears and says he hates everything Evans represents in the locker room. Evans then tells Briggs that he’s not trying to listen to him right now, but Briggs says Evans is from a generation that just tweets things. He then says he should’ve just confronted Femi in person to get an NXT Championship rematch, then tells Evans to try being him.

Evans then says he’s trying to be nice and tell him that he’s not in the mood respectively, but Briggs continues talking over him and says he’s not done talking. He then says Evans is looking for someone to get a gold star, but he’s not good enough at the end of the day and runs over Evans with a pump kick. He then delivers some stomps on Evans, then tells Evans he needs to learn when to fight and when to lay down. Briggs then grabs a chair from the outside, then sets it up and chokeslams Evans on top of it.

We then take a look at Xia Brookside and Candice LeRae and they talk about their match.

We then see Hank, Tank, Ricky and Oba in the locker room and Hank and Tank give a speech to get them to work together tonight and maybe they can get a title match. Hank then talks to Oba about Ricky Saints. Tank then talks to Ricky about Oba. Hank then says they have a plan. Tank then says they will see them in the ring and they leave. Ricky then tells Oba to be locked in tonight. Oba then tells Ricky to worry about himself.

Xia Brookside then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Candice LeRae follows.

WWE NXT Women’s Speed Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament First Round Match: WWE SmackDown star Candice LeRae vs. TNA Wrestling star Xia Brookside

The match starts off with Xia getting a rollup. Xia then hits a sunset flip for a near fall. Candice then hits a knee and Xia hits a head scissors take down. Xia then misses an elbow in the corner and Xia recovers with a head scissors take down. Xia then hits a drop kick and some running double knees into the corner. Xia then hits a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall. Xia then goes for a monkey flip, but Candice puts Xia on the turnbuckles and knocks her off the turnbuckles to the floor. Candice then goes to the floor and sends Xia back into the ring. Xia then gets a rollup for a near fall. Candice then hits a drop kick and she misses a quebrada. Xia then hits a Codebreaker for a near fall. Xia then backs Candice into the corner and delivers some shoulders. Candice is then put on the turnbuckles and Candice hits a tornado DDT and a step up back senton. Candice then hits a quebrada for the win.

We then head to the back and we see Josh Briggs enter the locker room. He tells everyone to keep talking if they have the balls to do it. Kale Dixon then tells Josh he has the balls to tell Josh that he sucks. Uriah Connors then says Josh has been a jerk. Andre Chase then shows up and says it isn’t their fault. Josh then says they are getting advice, but Chase isn’t Undertaker. Kale and Uriah then tell Josh that Chase will take care of him and they are going to talk to Ava about the match.

We then see NXT General Manager Ava in her office and Jacy Jayne enters with Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley. Ava says she wants a team from NXT to get a tag title match. Izzi Dame then tells Fallon that losers don’t get chances. They all then claim they deserve a title match. Fallon then asks ZARIA about Evolution. Ava then says next week there will be an elimination match with all three teams and the winner gets a future tag title match.

We then get a promo from DarkState. Shugars says when the lights get flashing, they are already hit. He then says the rest of the world is confused. Dion then says they are four renegades. He then says Osiris was in the League and he wasn’t given a shot. Cutler then says he was embarrassed on national TV on LFG. He then says he was told he wasn’t charismatic enough. Dion then says Saquon was smooth on the independent scene, but it took six years to get here. Dion then talks about sitting around and being pushed around by Trick Williams and Oba Femi. Shugars then says they played all of the fans. Dion then says they have the talent to skip the line. He then says they are going to be bigger superstars than anyone in NXT. Shugars then says violence pays the bills. They then say they weren’t championship material, but what are they holding in their hands. Shugars then says they are brothers, while the other four are from different places.

We then see Trick Williams walks in the backstage area.

Trick Williams then makes his way down to the ring. Trick starts off by saying he did a promotional piece as only he can and he said some things that he meant. Trick then says he stands ten toes down because it was real. Trick then says he is the hottest and greatest NXT superstar who has ever lived. Trick then says to his surprise, no one said a word on the contrary. Trick then says that can be for one of two reasons. Trick then says they know what he knows that he is the hottest NXT superstar to ever live. Trick then says two, they don’t care about NXT anymore. Trick then says that is crazy because after all of the hard work they have put in over the last three or four years. Trick then says he sees fans riding on buses and scooters doing everything they can for NXT and they don’t care about them.

Trick then says he doesn’t blame them one bit. Trick then says as soon as he moves to RAW and SmackDown and he gets his big contract and home in the suburbs, the fans are never going to see him again. Trick then says they do what they want. Trick then says they travel the world. Trick then says they are in Europe and doing what they want. Trick then says can you blame them. Trick then says all of the favorites that the fans loved, they don’t love you.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa’s music then hits and they make their way down to the ring. Johnny says they love the fans and they heard about NXT Homecoming, but they wanted to stop by early because today is the tenth anniversary of their NXT debut. Johnny then says we have the greatest superstar in NXT history in the ring. Ciampa then says of all of the champions and future hall of famers, none are better than Trick Williams. Johnny then says he is a two time NXT Champion, but aren’t you a two time champion Tommaso and Tommaso confirms it. Ciampa then points out that Johnny held the title. He then mentions that Trick is also a North American Champion and Johnny points out he is a three time champion. Ciampa then says Trick is a TNA World Champion and they are not. Tommaso then brings up that Johnny was a tag champion as well and his partner had to be muscular with a bald head. Johnny then says that his partner got a little grumpy.

Johnny then says Trick’s resume says a lot, but the jury is still out on being the greatest. He then says he has seen a lot of great men and women. He then says it didn’t matter who you were, it was their love and passion for the brand. Ciampa then says there were two guys who defined an era of NXT. He then says two people who bled black and gold and carved their path. He then takes Trick’s sunglasses off. He then says it was two men who paved the way for where you are today. He then says it was #DIY.

Trick then tells Ciampa not to put his hands on him because Ciampa can’t beat his girl’s ass, let’s talk about it. He then says he isn’t out here to disrespect. He then says he is here to show the love. He then says you have done great things, let’s talk about it. He then says you did all of these great things and then in came Trick to kick your accolades back to Medieval Times. He then says he is still carrying Melo and still the greatest of all time, let’s talk about it. Johnny then asks Tommaso if he wants to talk about it. Ciampa then pushes Trick and Trick misses a punch. Johnny then hits a super kick and Johnny and Tommaso hit a super kick and running knee combination.

We then head to the back, where Ava checks on Je’Von. Evans then says he is okay. Ava then says if Je’Von doesn’t interfere in Josh’s match, he can have him next week.

We then get a video package looking at WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong.

We then head to the back, where Tavion Heights gives Ethan Page his flag back but Ethan says it was a gift for a country with true patriotism. Ethan then talks about how the flag is the symbol for 40 million. Tavion then says he has an issue with one maple syrup sipping idiot. Ethan then says he won’t acknowledge the U.S. flag. Ethan then says that Ava was going to make a flag match, but Ava says it happens next week. Tavion then says Ethan will acknowledge the flag next week.

Kali Armstrong then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Jordynne Grace follows.

Non-Title Match: WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong vs. “The Juggernaut” Jordynne Grace

The match starts off with Kali missing a splash in the corner and Grace hits some kicks and an Irish whip. Kali then sends Grace into the corner and she delivers some punches. Kali then hits an Irish whip and a back body drop. Kali then hits a running shoulder into the corner and follows it up with more shoulders. Kali then hits a punch. Grace then hits a knee and she floats over a few times. Grace then hits an elbow, some chops and some forearms. Grace then hits a knee and a chop. Grace then hits a reverse gut-wrench and cinches in a camel clutch.

Kali then escapes the hold and backs Grace into the turnbuckles. Grace then holds on. Kali then hits a snap mare to escape. Kali then hits a back elbow and she sends Grace into the turnbuckles. Kali then hits a series of short Irish whips followed by a hard Irish whip. Kali then kicks Grace and stomps on the midsection. Kali then hits some kicks to the ribs. Kali then sends Grace’s head into the mat. Kali then hits an Irish whip. Grace then hits an elbow and she goes to the turnbuckles. Kali then hits a punch to stop Grace. Kali then sets up for a superplex and Grace blocks it with some forearms. Kali then hits some punches and both women exchange forearms on the turnbuckles. Grace then hits some head butts and she tries for a sunset flip power bomb, but Kali holds on to the ropes. Kali then hits a punch and she gets a near fall.

Kali then goes for a suplex, but Grace blocks it. Kali then hits some forearms to the back and some knees. Kali then goes for a suplex, but Grace blocks it and she tries for a delayed vertical suplex but Kali gets to her feet. Kali then drops Grace on the top rope and she gets a near fall. Kali then hits a back breaker and she stretches Grace over her knee. Grace then hits some knees to get out of the hold. Grace then backs Kali into the turnbuckles and goes for a back slide. Grace then hits a series of clotheslines. Grace then hits a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Grace then goes for the Juggernaut Driver, but Kali blocks it and hits an elbow. Kali then hits a power slam and she gets a near fall. Grace then nails Kali with a back elbow and follows it up with the Grace Driver for the win.

After the match, Blake Monroe confronts Grace on the entrance ramp. Grace then sends Monroe crashing into the ring steps, but security pulls Grace off Monroe as Monroe begins bleeding from her mouth.

We then take a look at Lola Vice in Miami. She says growing up in a Hispanic household is being told by your parents that everyone has a sad story. Vice then says it is about making your story. Vice then says she is from Miami. Vice then says it is who she is. She then talks about her pride being a Latina from Miami. Vice then says you don’t grow up soft when you are Cuban-American. Vice then says she left the house at 18 to start her MMA career. Vice then says she hasn’t been back in 9 years. Vice then says she was part of the culture in Little Havana. Vice then says she feels closest to Cuba. Vice then says there is no if I can, but when I can. Lola’s mother then says she always told Lola to be herself. Her sister then says Lola is a great role model. Vice then says she puts so much pressure on herself because of her dad.

Josh Briggs then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Chase U follows.

Singles Match: Josh Briggs vs. Chase U’s Andre Chase

The match starts off with Briggs hitting a boot and a punch, but Chase’s leg is under the ropes. Josh then hits a forearm and an Irish whip, but Chase responds with a back elbow. Chase then goes to the turnbuckles for a head scissors take down. Josh then goes to the floor and Chase goes to the apron and hits a thrust kick. Chase then hits a cross body off the apron and Josh catches Chase and sends him into the ring post.

Josh then hits a forearm and both men return to the ring. Josh then hits a hard Irish whip. Josh then hits an elbow drop and he gets a near fall. Josh then stomps on the hand and hits a punch. Chase then goes for a sunset flip, but Josh holds on and he tries to punch Chase but Chase moves. Chase then gets a rollup for a near fall. Josh then hits an elbow in the corner followed by a snap mare. Josh then hits a kick and a forearm. Josh then gets a near fall. Chase then hits an enzuigiri. Chase then goes to the turnbuckles for some punches on Josh. Josh then counters a bulldog attempt into a belly-to-back suplex and he gets a near fall. Josh then cinches in a reverse chin lock. Chase then hits elbows and some forearms. Chase then hits a tornado DDT for a near fall.

Josh then avoids a neck breaker and hits a forearm and a splash for a near fall. Josh then backs Chase into the corner and puts him on the turnbuckles. Josh then hits a punch and he climbs the turnbuckles. Josh then sets up for a superplex, but Chase blocks it. Chase then hits some punches and a head butt to send Josh to the mat. Chase then leaps over Josh and Josh hits a side slam. Josh then goes for a suplex and Chase counters with a stundog millionaire. Chase then hits a cross body for a near fall. Chase then hits a thrust kick and he sets up for another one and hits it. Chase then goes for a third one, but Josh blocks it and hits a choke slam and a running boot for the win.

After the match, Josh attacks Kale and he choke slams Connors through the table.

We then head to the back, where Trick is asked about what happened with #DIY. Trick says he will see y’all next week.

It is then announced that next week there will be a Flag Match between Tavion Heights and Ethan Page, Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx and Sol Ruca and ZARIA will meet in a #1 Contender’s Elimination Match for a future tag title match and Je’Von Evans will face Josh Briggs.

We then take a look back at what happened when Blake attacked Jordynne after Grace’s match and the look on Blake’s face.

Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger then make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night and DarkState follows.

8-Man Tag Team Match: WWE NXT Champion “The Ruler Of NXT” Oba Femi, Ricky Saints and Hank & Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) vs. DarkState (WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin, Cutler James and Saquon Shugars)

The match starts off with Tank and Saquon and Saquon hits some punches and some kicks. Tank then gets Saquon up, but Saquon hits a side head lock take down. Dion then tags in and hits a flying clothesline for a near fall. Dion then cinches in a rear chin lock. James then tags in and Tank hits a crucifix for a near fall. Hank then tags in and Hank hits a hip into the corner followed by a bulldog. Tank then hits a back senton and Hank gets a near fall. Hank then hits a wrist lock and Ricky tags in. Ricky then hits a chop and some kicks. Ricky then goes to the turnbuckles and goes Old School and he tags in Oba. Oba then hits some shoulders and an arm wringer. Oba then hits a forearm. Ricky then goes for the tag, but Oba pulls his hand away and he does the Ricky pose. Oba then hits a clothesline.

Oba then sets up for a suplex and Ricky goes after Osiris. Hank and Tank then hit atomic drops and Oba hits a drop down slam. We then get a four way Malachi Crunch. James then hits a back elbow on Oba and Dion tags in. Dion then hits some punches. Dion then cinches in a front face lock and Oba blocks a suplex. Oba then hits a boot to the head. Hank then tags in and he goes to the turnbuckles. Hank then hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles and hits his own belly many times. Tank then tags in and he does the same thing, but with his shirt pulled up. Tank then hits a double sledge. Oba then tags in and he goes to the turnbuckles and he kicks Dion. Oba then hits a shoulder tackle. Saints then tags in and Oba hits a back breaker and Ricky goes to the turnbuckles for something, but Oba decides to give Dion another back breaker. Ricky then gets a near fall. Ricky then hits some elbows and Tank tags in. Tank then kicks Dion and he sends Dion into the turnbuckles. Hank then tags in and he hits a splash for a near fall.

Dion then hits a punch and Osiris tags in. Osiris, Dion and Cutler then punch and kick Hank. Saquon then gets in a few shots afterward. James then hits a punch. James then chokes Hank in the ropes and Saquon kicks Hank in the ropes. Cutler then hits a shoulder and everyone else with splashes. Osiris then hits a power slam for a near fall. Osiris then cinches in a chin lock. Osiris then hits a hard Irish whip. Osiris then hits some punches and some European uppercuts in the corner. Tank then absorbs the impact of the Irish whip and Hank hits a clothesline out of the corner.

Dion and Tank then tag in and Tank hits some clotheslines on Dion and kicks everyone else. Tank then hits an atomic drop and a shoulder tackle off the turnbuckles. Tank then hits a suicide dive. Ricky then hits a DDT. Saquon then tags in and Ricky hits a clothesline. Oba then tags in and Saquon sends Ricky into Oba. Oba then sends Saquon to Ricky for a power bomb. Ricky then punches Oba and they fight to the floor. Tank then tags in. Hank then tags in and they set for the Malachi Crunch and hit it on Saquon. They then go for the shoulder tackle and power slam combination. Tank is then pulled into the ring post and Saquon rakes Hank’s eyes. They then set up for the toss power bomb and Tank pulls them to the floor. Cutler then clotheslines Hank. Cutler then sets up for a choke slam and he says no one is here to help you and Hank yells out Joe Hendry. Joe then shows up on the apron and Hank and Tank hit the shoulder tackle and power slam combination for the win.

After the match, we see Ricky and Oba fighting in the back and security shows up to try to separate them as the show comes to a close.
