The Countdown To WWE NXT Heatwave Pre-Show opens up with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant welcoming us.
They then run through the card for tonight’s PLE and we get a video package looking at the Blake Monroe vs. Jordynne Grace Match followed by a discussion from the panel.
We then see Lola Vice being interviewed before TripleMania. Vice was asked about her match at Heatwave and what is different. Vice says she is a completely different person. Vice then says she almost won the title last year. Vice then says she has been wrestling internationally. Vice then says she will knock you out if you get in the way of her and the title. Vice is then asked about differences between wrestling and MMA. Vice says she struggled at first and didn’t know if she would fit in. Vice then says she learned and she worked hard. Vice then says a year later she has no doubts and she believes in herself. Vice is then asked about her opponents. Vice says she loves Jordan and she has held a title before. Vice then says this isn’t about friendship, it is about business. Vice then says Jaida Parker had a title match at Stand & Deliver. Vice then says she is entitled enough to think she deserves another one. Vice then says Parker is all bark and no bite. Vice then says the only thing she is up for is the ass whooping she will get. Vice then says she feels like she got pushed to the side so tonight is do or die. Vice then says it is about time the title came to her. Vice then tells Jordan and Parker if she cannot handle the heat, get out of her way.
The panel then talk about the WWE NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match.
Kelly Kincaid then sits down with Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele. Kincaid asks them about their backgrounds. Kincaid then mentions that Steele is the first Women’s Olympic Gold Medalist in WWE. Steele says she is proud and she thought she could do it because she can be aggressive and throw people around. Steele then says she was blessed to become a gold medalist. Heights then says what Steele did in wrestling, she is in a league of her own. Heights then says wrestling saved his life. Heights then says fighting got him kicked out of school and then he started training and he was able to channel that energy. Heights then says he gives everything because wrestling gave him everything. They are then asked about why this is happening. Heights says he is irked by what Ethan Page said about him. Heights then says Page has a punchable face, but he did it for every American who wanted to do it.
Steele is then asked how it felt to be asked by Heights. Steele says who better than two Olympians to represent the U.S. Steele then says Chelsea Green is a little annoying. Steele then says Green is writing checks her mouth can’t cash. Steele then says when Heights asked her to be his partner, the choice was obvious. Kincaid then asks if being on Undertaker’s team prepared her for this match. Steele says Undertaker always told her to be confident in herself. Steele then says she needs to go out there and apply it. Kincaid then asks if they are prepared for the match. Heights says Page is the real deal. Heights then sais Page has skill to back up what he says. Heights then says when the bell rings, they will respect him.

We then see Blake Howard interviewing WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi. Howard asks Femi if he has been tested. Femi says he has been taken to the limit and he has put down every man put in front of him. Femi then says he knows how to lose. Femi then says his NXT North American Title reign came to an end against Tony D’Angelo. Femi then vows to come back stronger and better. Femi then says he is close to perfection.
Howard then asks Femi about Je’Von Evans as an opponent. Femi says Evans proved him wrong at Stand & Deliver and he has improved. Femi then says over the last few weeks, he saw they are on the same path. Femi then says there is a reason The Undertaker talked to both of them, but Undertaker came to him first. Femi then says Evans will always be ten steps behind him. Howard then asks Femi if he is concerned or threatened and Femi cuts him off. Femi then says this is not a nickname for him. Femi then says he is a champion. Femi then says do you think he has this by mistake. Femi then says he has it because he is worthy. Femi then says it does not matter how hungry Evans or anyone after him are, he will destroy them. Femi then says when he beats Evans, it is to remind everyone that he is the ruler, the champion, the chosen and the worthy.

WWE NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match: Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice
The match starts off with Parker sending Jordan to the mat and Lola hitting some forearms. Jordan and Vice then hit a double super kick on Parker to send her to the floor. Jordan then gets a rollup for a near fall and she knocks Parker off the apron. Vice then avoids a few kicks and Parker clotheslines Vice and Jordan. Parker then slams Vice and Jordan. Parker then sends Jordan and Vice’s heads together. Parker then delivers some shoulders to Jordan in the corner and she puts Jordan in the turnbuckles and Irish whips Vice into Jordan. She then places Vice on top of Jordan for a springboard seated splash. Parker then sends Jordan to the floor. Parker then hits a fallaway slam on Vice for a near fall. Jordan then hits a kick to the back and Jordan kicks Vice from the apron. Jordan then leaps over Vice and rolls through. Jordan then places Vice in the ropes and hits a forearm, then hits a springboard hesitation guillotine leg drop for a near fall.
Jordan then hits some forearms on the floor and Parker fires back. Jordan then sends Parker into the turnbuckles. Jordan is then sent back into the ring, but she lands on her feet and hits a super kick on Parker.
Jordan then hits a twisting pescado on Vice and Parker. Vice is then sent back into the ring and Jordan hits a handspring cutter for a near fall. Jordan then cinches in a single leg crab on Vice. Vice then kicks Jordan away and Vice goes for an O’Connor Roll into a dragon sleeper. Jordan then flips over and kicks Vice. Vice then hits some kicks on Jordan and she does the same to Parker. Dame says Paxley didn’t need help. Dame then says it was because of Sol and ZARIA that she lost. Dame then says she wanted Paxley to win on her own. Paxley then says they are the best. Dame then says they will face Wren Sinclair and someone else if she can find someone. Dame then says it is time to show how strong they are. Vance then tells Paxley this is her moment. He then says the NQCC is fractured and they are stronger than ever.

WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Hank & Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) (c) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin)
The match starts off with Saquon Shugars giving some signals and Lennox attacks Hank from behind. Lennox then hits a clothesline on Hank, but Hank wants more. Hank then sends Lennox into the corner and hits him with some punches. Tank then tags in and Hank hits a splash into the corner followed by one from Tank. Tank then hits a shoulder tackle off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Lennox then hits a forearm and Osiris tags in and they punch Tank. Osiris then hits a slam. Osiris then goes for a slam, but Tank escapes. Tank then avoids Lennox, but Saquon grabs the ankle. Hank then tags in and they square off, but Cutler and Saquon get on the apron and Hank and Tank punch them on the floor. Hank and Tank then send Lennox and Osiris over the top rope and to the floor. Hank and Tank then hit stereo suicide dives.
Hank then hits some punches on Lennox and follows it up with a bulldog. Hank then goes to the turnbuckles, but Lennox crotches Hank. Osiris then tags in and he knocks Hank off the turnbuckles with a forearm. Lennox then tags in and he punches Hank against the ring steps. Lennox then sends Hank into the apron. Osiris then tags in and he sends Hank into the apron. Hank then hits an elbow to stop Osiris. Osiris then grabs the ankle and Hank kicks Osiris away. Osiris then goes for a belly-to-back suplex, but Hank blocks it. Osiris then keeps Hank from making the tag and Osiris hits a power slam for a near fall. Lennox then clotheslines Tank to the floor. Lennox then tags in. Lennox and Osiris then hit a hard Irish whip to the sternum and they get a near fall. Lennox then cinches in a rear chin lock on Hank.
Lennox then hits an Irish whip, but Tank absorbs the impact and Hank hits a clothesline. Tank then tags in and he hits elbows and punches. Tank then gets a cartwheel and he hits a double cross body. Tank then knocks Saquon off the apron with a shoulder tackle. Tank then hits a Bubba Bomb on Lennox for a near fall. Hank is then sent to the floor by Osiris and Hank drops him on the top rope. Hank then avoids Saquon and James. Hank then finally gets to his corner. Hank then tags in and he sends Osiris over the top rope to the floor. Hank then hits a Bossman Slam on Lennox. Hank then goes up top and he his a cross body onto Osiris, Cutler and Saquon. Hank and Tank then set up for the Malachi Crunch and hit it. James then pulls Tank into the ring post in an uncomfortable position when the referee was distracted by Saquon. Lennox then hits a Doomsday Device for the win.

He then says if she wants him to wrestle a broom stick, she will. Ava then says we will have a Blindfold Match on Tuesday.
No Mercy is then announced as official for the War Memorial on September 27th and Lola Vice gets her title match on that show.

Jacy then hits a neck breaker on Masha and follows it up with a cannonball on Ash. Masha then hits a corkscrew suicide dive on Jacy, Nyx and Fallon. Ash then hits a tornado DDT on Masha and follows it up with a moonsault. Jacy then hits a knee on Ash and she gets a near fall on Masha. Saints then says Undertaker wouldn’t have said that if he didn’t believe in him. He then says the people believe in him and he believes in Evans. Saints then says Evans is going to do what no one has done, dethrone Oba. He then says he will be waiting on the other side of the curtain for the golden opportunity. Evans then says things will be bouncy.
It is then announced that Halloween Havoc will take place on October 25th at Prescott Valley, Arizona.

The match starts off with Blake slapping Grace and Blake decides to leave the ring, but Grace stops her. She then tries to hide behind the announcers and then they do some cardio around the ring. Grace then hits a Thesz Press and some punches. Blake then hits some punches. Grace then hits more punches and a slap. Grace then hits a reverse gut-wrench. Blake then hits a punch. Grace then hits a Stretch Muffler suplex. Both women then go to the floor and Grace hits some punches and a fallaway slam on the floor. Grace then carries Blake back to the ring steps, but Blake gets to her feet and she drops Grace on the ring steps. Blake then kicks Grace’s elbow. Blake then kicks Grace as Grace returns to the ring and she focuses on the elbow.
Blake then gets an arm wringer for a near fall. Blake then kicks Grace in the head against the ropes. Blake then hits a drop kick against the ropes. Grace then goes to the floor and Blake follows. Blake then pulls Grace’s arm into the ring post a few times despite Grace’s attempts to block it. Both women then return to the ring and Blake gets a near fall. Blake then goes for a butterfly suplex, but Grace hits a back body drop. Grace then gets Blake on her shoulders for a suplex and she gets a near fall. Grace then kicks Blake in the shoulder. Grace then gets Blake on her shoulders, but Blake escapes and hits a head butt. Grace then hits a back elbow. Blake then hits another head butt and a running knee. We then see Sarah Schreiber talking to Jacy Jayne and she brings up how she wasn’t pinned for her recent loss. Jayne then yells at Nyx for getting her and Henley kicked out. Lola Vice then shows up to trash talk to Jayne. ZARIA and Sol Ruca then show up to have Lola’s back.

She then puts Green in a bow and arrow. Tavion then sends Page into Green’s knees with a drop toe hold. They both then roll through and get Green and Page on their shoulders and send them to the apron and to the floor. Page then gets on the mic and he says they are not giving them citizenship. Page then tags in and Tavion enters as well. Page then hits a knee and some punches.
Both men then exchange punches. Tavion then hits an Irish whip, but Page responds with a boot and some punches. Tavion then hits a chop and Page hits a punch of his own. Page then sends Tavion into the turnbuckles. Page then hits a suplex for a near fall. Page then cinches in a reverse chin lock. Tavion then hits some elbows. Tavion then avoids a clothesline and hits one of his own. Page then hits a kick, but Tavion responds with an Irish whip. Both men then hits headbutts. Green then pulls Tyra off the apron to prevent the tag. Page then hits a leaping facebuster for a near fall. Green then tags in and Tavion blocks a slap. We then head to the back, where Josh Briggs approaches Oba Femi. Briggs says he thinks Femi’s reign is going to end tonight due to Evans being a kid of destiny. Briggs then says it looks like the grind is wearing down Femi. Femi then says Briggs’ opinions are insignificant. Briggs then says he’s next in line after defeating Inamura and nobody is holding him back. Briggs then wishes Femi luck.
Sarah Schreiber then interviews NXT General Manager Ava. Ava then hypes the upcoming NXT Homecoming, No Mercy and Halloween Havoc shows. Ava then announces that the WWE Speed Titles are now NXT titles. Ava then announces an NXT, TNA, WWE or AAA wrestler challenging Sol Ruca for the Speed Title at No Mercy.

The match starts off with Oba missing a punch and Evans hitting Oba with a punch of his own. Evans then avoids Oba and Oba blocks a kick. Oba then hits a single leg sweep. Evans then cinches in a waist lock and he tries for a German suplex, but he cannot get Oba up. Oba then hits a shoulder tackle. Evans then hits a chop and Oba backs Evans into the corner, but Evans hits a chop. Oba then hits a chop of his own and he sets up for a power bomb, but Evans escapes and tries for a thrust kick andOba blocks it. Evans then hits a chop. Oba then goes for a power bomb, but Evans escapes and he chops Oba. Oba then catches Evans on a cutter and hits a back body drop and Evans lands on his feet. Oba then hits a running shoulder tackle. Oba then tosses Evans into the turnbuckles. Oba then hits an elbow to the back of the head. Oba then hits a snap mare and a kick to the back.
Oba then hits an Irish whip and Evans slides to the apron and avoids Oba. Evans then hits a springboard cross body, but Oba catches Evans and sends him into the turnbuckles. Evans then hits a super kick. Evans then hits a thrust kick for a near fall. Evans then comes off the turnbuckles, but he sees Oba put up his knees so he stops short and hits a double stomp. Evans then hits a slingshot head scissors take down. Oba then goes to the floor and he sets for a suicide dive, but he slows down and Oba grabs Evans by the throat. Evans then hits kicks and he avoids a chop from Oba, but Oba does not miss the second time. Oba then presses Evans and sends him over the top rope back into the ring. Oba then stands on Evans’ ribs.
Oba then presses Evans over his head and he hits a gutbuster for a near fall. Oba then stretches Evans and applies a rear chin lock. Oba then cinches in a side head lock and Evans goes for a belly-to-back suplex and Oba adjusts his position to get a lateral press for a near fall. Oba then hits a chop. Oba then goes for a power slam, but Evans goes to the apron. Evans then slides under and he chops Oba and kicks Oba, then sends him to the floor. Evans then sets to go to the floor, but Oba recovers and hits a spinebuster for a near fall. Oba then hits a hard Irish whip. Oba then hits another hard Irish whip. Evans then slides into the corner on an Irish whip and he kicks Oba. Evans then hits some forearms. Evans then hits a forearm and a second one. Oba then hits a back breaker and a choke slam for a near fall.
Oba then hits a head butt. Oba then hits a forearm to the back. Oba then pie faces Evans and he says some things to him. Evans then hits a forearm and punches as he avoids punches from Oba. Evans then hits punches on Oba’s midsection. Oba then hits a forearm to the jaw and hits a boot. Evans then hits a German suplex and Oba pops up and hits a clothesline. Oba then hits a running uppercut into the corner and a second one. Evans then hits a cutter when Oba goes for a third one. Oba then hits a forearm as Evans comes off the ropes for the double jump cutter and Oba gets a near fall. Oba then gets Evans up and he goes to the turnbuckles. Evans then hits some elbows and he goes to the apron. Evans then sets up for a move off the turnbuckles, but Oba pushes Evans off and Evans hits the referee. Oba then blocks a Frankensteiner and Oba goes for a power bomb. Evans then counters with a rana. Evans then hits a cutter and a double jump cutter. Evans then covers and the new referee makes the three count, but the original referee saw Oba’s foot under the rope and the match continues. Evans then goes up to and he misses a twisting splash off the turnbuckles. Oba then tosses Evans from the ring through the announce desk. Oba then sends Evans back into the ring and he hits the pop up power bomb for the win.

After the match, highlights from the match is shown. Ricky Saints then make his way down to the ring to confront Oba Femi as Femi is celebrating. Oba and Saints then face off and The Executive Producer credits are shown as the show comes to a close.
