WWE’s SummerSlam card just took a twist—and it’s all playing out on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed match airing tonight was originally booked for SummerSlam weekend. Meltzer didn’t mince words when revealing WWE’s original plans:
“Bronson Reed and Jey Uso was originally a SummerSlam match.”
Instead, the company has apparently shifted gears, and the revised direction is leading toward something bigger: a tag team showdown involving Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker. Meltzer hinted that tonight’s Raw will likely be used to build that SummerSlam clash.
“I presume that this will just end up being something where, you know, Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker end up interfering.”
Roman Reigns’ surprise return to Raw two weeks ago lit the fuse for this new feud. Now, with only days to go until SummerSlam on August 2 and 3, all eyes are on Raw to see if this setup delivers the final spark.
With Reigns and Jey Uso reportedly teaming up for the first time in over a year, and Bron Breakker aligning with Reed, WWE could be putting together a major tag match that fans didn’t see coming—but one that might just steal the weekend.
