A woman who was shot and killed in an ambush-style murder Saturday in Northridge has been identified as 22-year-old Maria De La Rosa.
NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — An investigation is underway after a woman was shot and killed in an ambush-style murder Saturday in Northridge.
The Los Angeles Police Department identified the victim as 22-year-old Maria De La Rosa.
De La Rosa was inside a parked car along with two others when, according to witnesses, two male suspects approached the car and fired multiple rounds.
The fatal shooting occurred Saturday at around 1:25 a.m. in the area of Bryant Street east of Tampa Avenue in Northridge, according to the LAPD.
De La Rosa was transported to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The two others who were inside the car were injured, but their condition is unknown.
The motive for the shooting is unclear, and no arrests have been made.
