Where Sarah Ferguson Will Reportedly Move After Andrew’s Title Loss

  • Sarah Ferguson is reportedly hoping to “forge an independent life” in the wake of her ex-husband’s fall from grace.
  • The former Duchess of York will be moving into a separate home apart from Andrew.
  • Though the ex-couple divorced back in 1996, they had been living together at Royal Lodge since 2008.

Sarah Ferguson is plotting her next move in the wake of her ex-husband’s fall from grace. Now that the former Duke and Duchess of York are (finally) being forced to leave Royal Lodge, the mom-of-two is reportedly hoping to “forge an independent life.”

“She is going to be moving out and into a separate home,” according to an insider who spoke to People. “Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself.”

The source also added that Ferguson is “going to move forward independently.” Though she divorced Andrew back in 1996, the ex-couple have been living together at Royal Lodge since 2008.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, was officially stripped of his remaining titles and privileges by his brother King Charles III on Thursday, October 30. The disgraced royal was subsequently dishonored when his coat of arms was removed from Windsor Castle—a “hugely symbolic” moment typically only reserved for traitors.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, meanwhile, were reportedly consulted and were in full support of King Charles’s historic decision.

“While a longer-term resolution to the complex legal and constitutional issues surrounding Andrew’s status took time to finalize, sources say the necessity of further action was never in doubt,” People explained at the time. “The King’s decision follows behind-the-scenes discussions, legal consultation, and support from the wider royal family to bring about a resolution without imposing on Parliamentary time.”

As for Andrew’s next move? Though it was previously reported that he hoped to relocate to Frogmore Cottage, the former prince is actually headed for a property on the Sandringham Estate.
