No. 15 Tennessee will host No. 6 Georgia in an SEC rivalry battle on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville. The game will feature two hard-hitting teams that are looking for a statement win to begin conference play this year.
Josh Heupel and the Volunteers are aiming to stop an eight-game slide against the Bulldogs in front of the sellout crowd in Neyland Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Knoxville is going to be as busy as it gets on Saturday. ESPN’s College GameDay will be set up at Ayers Hall on campus to kick things off with its Saturday morning pregame show, while the famous Checker Neyland gameday environment will be in effect at the stadium that afternoon. Tennessee will also be honoring VFL “Big” John Henderson for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame during halftime of the game. The former UT legend will be surrounded by many of his old teammates during the day.
Whether you’re watching from The Hill, the stadium, your couch, or a restaurant, Saturday is a can’t-miss day for the Tennessee fanbase. It’s a time when the Volunteers have a chance to right some past wrongs and make a statement to the college football world after being written off in ways before the season.
