Oddly enough, Vince Young lands at No. 2 on Rivals’ all-time five-star rankings — right behind Reggie Bush. Sound familiar? It should. That’s exactly how the 2005 Heisman voting ended too. But just like back then, we all know how that turned out.

On the biggest stage in college football history, Young took the corner on 4th and 5 and dashed into the right side of the end zone, lifting Texas to a 41–38 win over USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl — a game still widely considered one of the greatest ever played. While Bush got the Heisman, VY got the trophy that matters most.
Vince was the No. 1 overall player in the 2002 class, a five-star quarterback with jaw-dropping talent and leadership that brought Texas back to national prominence. His blend of poise, athleticism, and clutch play defined an era.
