Welcome back to the UFC, Kyle Daukaus.
In a middleweight preliminary bout of UFC Shanghai on Saturday, Daukaus returned to the promotion for a short notice opportunity against Michel Pereira. Daukaus made the most of it, dropping Pereira with a big punch early in the first round, before pouncing on his opponent with vicious ground and pound before the referee stopped the fight.
Check out the stunning finish from Daukaus below.
Daukaus left the UFC in December 2022 after a TKO loss to Eryk Anders. Since then, the 32-year-old has done nothing but win, including winning the CFFC middleweight title, and defending it on multiple occasions. During his five-fight win streak, Daukaus has stopped four of his five opponents, but none bigger than what he accomplished on Saturday at Shanghai Indoor Stadium in his first octagon appearance in nearly three years.
Pereira has now lost three straight, including a lopsided stoppage loss to Anthony Hernandez in the main event of UFC Vegas 99 this past October.
