TAIPEI — Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. is eliminating the use of Chinese chipmaking equipment in its most advanced chip plants to avoid any potential U.S. restrictions that could disrupt production, several people briefed on the matter told Nikkei Asia.
