Rumors and conspiracy theories surrounding President Donald Trump’s health have continued as he heads out for another round of golf on Sunday morning at his club in Virginia.
The president was seen leaving the White House early Sunday morning, heading to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, at around 10 a.m. Speculation had been surging on social media last week due to Trump’s lack of pubic appearances, leading to some suggesting he had passed away.
These rumors were bolstered by reports that White House reporters hadn’t seen Trump since Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting and Vice President JD Vance telling USA Today that he would be ready to step into the presidency “if there’s a terrible tragedy.”

Despite Trump’s being photographed at both the White House and his Virginia golf club, speculation regarding the president’s overall health continues to circulate on social media, with some going as far as to say the man seen on Saturday and Sunday was a body double.
Some have also suggested that the president may have had some sort of medical episode last week, forcing his staff to hide him from the public and the press. Trump did have a number of things on his official schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. However, they were all closed to the press pool, including two executive order signings on Thursday and Friday. Trump traditionally enjoys making a public show out of these events, inviting the press into the Oval Office and often signing them on live television.

This has continued to fuel the unfounded speculation that Trump is in ill health and days away from death, despite no official reports coming out about the matter. Users on social media have also scrutinized several photos of the president from Saturday and Sunday, claiming they recycled photos from earlier this year and as far back as 2019. However, none of those theories has been confirmed.
Speculation about Trump’s health has been rampant during his second stint in the White House, including the multiple appearances of bruising and makeup on his hands and frequent swollen ankles. The only official diagnosis regarding the president’s health from the White House came back in July, when Trump was found by his physicians to be suffering from chronic venous insufficiency, which causes a person’s veins to have trouble moving blood back to the heart, causing it to pool in their arms and legs.
This likely explains why Trump has often been seen with severely swollen ankles. Trump’s official schedule for next week has not yet been released, but it’s likely he will take the Labor Day holiday off. However, speculation about the president’s well-being will likely continue until he makes an official public appearance on camera.
