Travis Kelce’s Taylor Swift Post Was ‘His Way’ to Show They’re Serious: Source (Exclusive)

Travis Kelce‘s latest Instagram post featuring Taylor Swift has been turning heads — and for good reason!

After the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared a string of photos with Swift to Instagram earlier this week, a source now tells PEOPLE Kelce’s decision to post images of Swift to the platform for the first time “wasn’t random.”

“It was intentional,” the source says of Kelce, 35. “They’ve been private in their own way, but this was his way of showing how serious things have become.”

“They’re in a really solid place and more in sync than ever,” the source adds.

The photo dump itself, shared to Instagram on Thursday, included 13 images of Kelce posing with loved ones — and seven of them featured an appearance from Swift, 35.

While the pair started dating in September 2023, the post indeed marked the first time Kelce has included photos of Swift on his account. In the images, they could be seen with arms around each other on a boat, rocking matching black outfits at a restaurant, on a group trip to Montana and posing along with several mutual pals throughout.

One image also gave fans a glimpse of Kelce’s phone lock screen: a black-and-white photo of the couple.

“Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 💯,” Kelce captioned the snaps, which also featured appearances from his brother Jason Kelce, mother Donna Kelce and more.

Swift previously posted Kelce to her profile for the first time on June 22, 2024, as she shared a selfie that also featured Kelce, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte at her first London Eras Tour show at Wembley Stadium the previous day.

As for Kelce’s latest post, several friends, fans and loved ones commented in approval, including teammate Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs organization and “King Swiftie” himself, Flavor Flav.

“The whole world happy for y’all,,, may God continue to bless you and your families with happiness and pure joy 🙏🏾,” Flav wrote.

“FAVS ❤️🏒🍞,” close friend Erin Andrews commented.

Kelce’s off-season and Instagram debut with Swift come during a season of change for the couple. After Swift reclaimed her masters in May, a source told PEOPLE earlier this month that Kelce made the milestone even more memorable. Swift previously announced in an Instagram post on May 30 that she bought back her music catalog and now had control of her first six LPs.

“She’s proud, relieved, and finally feels like a chapter has closed in the best possible way. Having Travis by her side for that milestone made it even more special,” the insider said.

Kelce “was honored to support her and he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way” and, according to the source, he and Swift were “incredibly happy and in sync.”

“There’s a calmness and ease to their relationship right now that’s been really grounding for Taylor and Travis,” they said.
