Samsung’s getting ready to release a stable One UI 8 update, and honestly, it’s looking exciting. Samsung’s latest One UI version is packed with new stuff that will make your Galaxy phone feel new again. But here’s the thing – not everyone’s getting it at the same time.
So which phones are getting the update first? Based on what Samsung usually does and some insider info, these 3 Galaxy devices are gonna get it first: the Galaxy S25 series, the Z Fold6, and the Z Flip6.
Galaxy S25 Series:
The whole S25 series – regular S25, the S25+, and the beast S25 Ultra – the owners of these devices are getting their hands first on the stable version. Makes total sense when you think about it.
The S25 Ultra’s been in beta testing for months now. Basically, Samsung’s been letting some users play around with early versions to catch any bugs before the stable version drops. If you have an S25, you are probably gonna be showing off those new features before others.
Samsung has already released 4 beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series so far.
Z Fold6
Right behind the S25 series comes the Galaxy Z Fold6. Samsung treats its foldables like premium products, especially the Fold series.
Samsung’s been putting serious work into making its software play well with foldable displays, so the Fold6 users are getting some special attention.
Z Flip6
The Galaxy Z Flip6 wraps up our top three. Samsung’s probably gonna push the update to Flip6 owners pretty quickly alongside the Fold6.
Samsung’s got this thing about taking care of its flagship phones first. The newest, most expensive devices get updates before everything else. Starting with the S25 series makes sense because these devices have already been testing One UI 8. The foldables come next because Samsung wants to keep pushing to the 2nd new phones.
Don’t worry if you are not using one of these three. Samsung’s got a pretty decent track record of eventually getting updates to most of its recent phones. It just takes a bit longer.
The company usually follows a pattern – flagships first, then last year’s flagships, then mid-range devices, and finally the budget phones. Your Galaxy S24? It will get the One UI 8 update for sure. Other Galaxy phones are gonna get too, just give it some time.
