A new name in the Steam community has appeared, and it’s turning heads for all the right reasons. A user by the name SonixLegend from China has managed to do something no one else has ever done before: build a Steam library with over 40,000 games. The milestone is so huge that even Valve had to award them a special achievement.
On September 2023, SonixLegend took their game library to over 40,000 games, which earned them the unique Game Collector: 40,000+ Steam badge. Right now, it’s the only one of its kind, making the profile shine among the crowd.
What’s more impressive is that the user hasn’t slowed down since hitting the milestone, as they’ve added 31 more games to their account, pushing the total number to 40,031. Aside from games, they also own 22,136 DLCs, and have built up a wishlist of 26,959 games. This suggests that this library is only going to get bigger with time. And if you head over to SteamDB, you’ll see the account is currently worth over $640,000.
Despite owning more games than anyone else on the platform, SonixLegend hasn’t been too active in writing reviews. In fact, they have only given 20 reviews, which is surprising considering the massive size of their collection.
What’s interesting is that their favorite game happens to be Alien Swarm, a free-to-play game released back in July 2010. So far, the user has managed to earn more than 79,000 achievements in games, and it has taken them 15 years to build everything.
