The Wyatt Sicks challenged the Street Profits for the WWE tag team championship on tonight’s (July 11) episode of SmackDown.
When these two teams last fought each other over the gold two weeks ago in Saudi Arabia, the rest of the SmackDown tag team division interfered to ruin the ending. Those teams all remained in the back this time. With Erick Rowan and Uncle Howdy at ringside for this rematch, that gave the clear numbers advantage to the Wyatts.
Rowan took full advantage of that fact by cheating behind the referee’s back late in the bout just when it looked like Montez Ford was about to win the match. Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy hit their tandem finishing move a few moments later, and that was all she wrote.
Just like that, Uncle Howdy’s crew are now champions in WWE roughly one month after arriving on SmackDown.
