It’s taking the same approach of listening to the players as it determines whether there’ll be a Ghost of Yotei expansion: “Certainly we love Atsu, and we think it’s a great character. And just like with Jin, if there’s rooms to improve it or to bring some new elements to life or clarity for the narrative’s sake and it falls within what is best for Sucker Punch, then we’ll certainly take a hard look at that for sure.”
The Iki Island expansion for PS5 and PS4 released just over a year after the base game, and added a whole new region to explore, along with 15+ hours of content in a Director’s Cut re-release. If developer Sucker Punch hears enough from its fans, then the possibility is there for Ghost of Yotei to receive a similar expansion.
What is confirmed for Ghost of Yotei in the future is a new co-op Legends mode, which Ghost of Tsushima was also treated to after launch. This free offering will have new classes, two-player story missions, and four-player skirmishes.
