The Latest Ahead of Kentucky vs. Ole Miss

The final SEC Availability Report for the league’s opener has arrived. We now know who is officially in and who is out for today’s game between the Kentucky Wildcats and Ole Miss Rebels at Kroger Field.

Cornerback DJ Waller has officially been ruled out. A starter in his second season at Kentucky, the Michigan transfer from Youngstown was exceptional at Ole Miss a year ago.

Without Waller, the Wildcats will lose some size on the outside. However, Terhyon Nichols is considered a “third starter” by head coach Mark Stoops. They’re confident in the four-star talent’s abilities. This gives an opportunity for a Maryland transfer, Kevis Thomas, to enter the rotation. He started in multiple games for the Terps in 2024.

The good news for Kentucky? Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace has the green light to play against Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has six players ruled out for Saturday’s game. WR Caleb Cunningham was a Blue Chip recruiting win for the Rebels on the recruiting trail last fall. He appeared on the injury report earlier this week, but will play against the Kentucky Wildcats. CB Ricky Fletcher has been ruled a game-time decision.
