The fourth One UI 8 beta update is now available for Galaxy S25

Samsung has released the fourth One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. Hints about a fourth beta version being in the works dropped a couple of weeks ago when another test build was spotted on Samsung’s servers.

A few days ago, the Beta Operation Manager confirmed that the fourth One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series was in development. Samsung planned to release it this week. Well, the time has finally come!

Samsung is now releasing the fourth One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25. It is currently available in Germany with firmware version S938BXXU5ZYGB and could be released in other countries soon. It brings us one big step closer to the public One UI 8 release. The update brings several bug fixes that are listed below.

  • Added Samsung IMS Service emergency update feature to support high quality (HD) voice, video, and enhanced chat services on Galaxy devices (notification or pop-up may occur for IMS service update and restart consent to test the feature).
  • Added support for full screen switching while playing videos using DeX.
  • Fixed an operational issue with Galaxy Al Reply Suggestions.
  • Fixed a loading issue when Bixby routine commands are triggered via voice.
  • Fixed a display issue in the quick launch icon area on the lock screen.
  • Fixed an issue with editing iNavi dashcam videos in the Gallery app.
  • Fixed an issue where the message ‘Fingerprint sensor not responding’ appeared on the lock screen.
  • Fixed an issue with outgoing calls when attempting Swipe to Call from the Contacts list with TalkBack enabled.
  • Fixed a flickering issue of the vertical/horizontal level indicator when switching from front to rear camera.
  • Enhanced software stability through updates to multiple apps.

There is a possibility that the fourth beta update will be the last before Samsung closes the beta testing window and moves One UI 8 to the stable servers.

Needless to say, the Galaxy S25 will be the first to receive the stable update once it’s ready, but there are plenty of other eligible Galaxy phones and tablets that are waiting for tangible progress toward One UI 8.

Notable mentions include the Galaxy S24 and, of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, both of which have been succeeded by the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 7 a few weeks ago. The newer models ship with One UI 8 out of the box.
