It looks like we have a release date for the ROG Xbox Ally! The date has leaked courtesy of the (usually reliable) Dealabs Magazine today, which is reporting that according to its information, an official date has finally been nailed down.
The exact release date for the ROG Xbox Ally is seemingly October 16th, 2025. This date is said to be for the European market, and it’s believed other regions will benefit from a simultaneous launch – although this has yet to be confirmed.
This news will apparently be announced at Gamescom 2025 in a few weeks’ time.
“According to our information, the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X consoles will be officially launched on October 16, 2025. This date is currently for the European market, and although it is very likely, it remains to be seen whether the other regions will benefit from a simultaneous launch.”
Sales will reportedly begin for the ROG Xbox Ally handheld on Wednesday, August 20th – with the pre-order prices set as €599 for the ROG Xbox Ally and €899 for the ROG Xbox Ally X in Europe.
Xbox has already announced that the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds will be appearing as part of a special Gamescom broadcast on that day (August 20th), and this is said to be where the release date will get its formal reveal.
Of course, plans can still change – and as mentioned, it’s not yet been confirmed whether a simultaneous launch is planned here – but October 16th is sounding pretty likely as things stand. Just over a couple of months to go, then!
