Money is pouring in on Texas ahead of Saturday’s matchup against Ohio State.
After opening as a 3-point underdog, the Longhorns are now a 1.5-point favorite as of this writing to beat the Buckeyes at DraftKings Sportsbook.
At most other major sportsbooks, Texas is still a one-point underdog, although their movement suggests that they could leapfrog the home team Ohio State before Saturday’s kickoff at noon.
DraftKings’ Johnny Avello told Fox Sports that he expects the game to be a massive betting event.
“Texas vs. Ohio State could see the most money we’ve ever had for an opening week college football game. I think it’s spectacular,” Avello said, per the outlet.
The over/under is sitting at 46.5 points at DraftKings, which is down from 50.5 points when lines for the game first dropped.
The Longhorns opened the season as the No. 1 overall team after falling to the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff semifinals in January.

Ohio State took home its first national championship in the Ryan Day era with a win over Notre Dame in the title game.
Both teams come into this season with championship aspirations, with Texas sitting as a +550 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook, followed by Georgia (+650), Ohio State (+700) and Penn State (+700).
