She’s had a rocky past with her mother.
Now Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans is seeing a similar dynamic play out in her relationship with her own son, 16-year-old Jace.
The drama between Jenelle and Jace erupted last week after the teenager shared a tense text message exchange between him and his mom (one in which she allegedly said ‘F*** YOU’ to him).
He is now living thousands of miles away from his mother and with a relative, as he is reportedly on probation over a legal issue that is confidential due to his age.
During a Q&A she held on her Instagram Stories, Jenelle, 33, addressed the feud after one fan asked, ‘Do you feel that history is repeating itself now Jace is acting like how u acted w/ur mo.’
Jenelle acknowledged she saw the pattern reoccurring yet seemed to shift blame on her mother for Jace’s behavior, writing: ‘It’s the way he was raised with my mom, I had to rewire myself out of being reactive in situations and learn to sit and listen.

‘Had to teach myself not to cuss every other word like I grew up with and still working on it. I had to break the cycle and it’s happening again.’
Jace was in his grandmother’s care for 13 years, after Jenelle signed custody of him over to Barbara shortly after he was born. She regained full custody of her son in 2023.
That wasn’t the only question Jenelle fielded about her son, with another asking how she felt about him.
‘It’s a full circle moment and hopefully he can change and follow the rules, but I have 2 other little kids to think of as well and their well being,’ she wrote.
She also defended herself in the text message drama, insisting fans weren’t seeing the full story.
‘You really are trash for speaking to your son like that in those texts,’ one person told her.
‘Do you know what transpired before that?’ Jenelle responded. ‘Didnt think so. You’ve got some cropped texts to go off of.. not a full conversation. Keep guessing (shrug emoji).’
When one asked what type of treatment or help she was getting for her son, she said: ‘That’s no one’s business.’
Jenelle was also asked about her OnlyFans account, with one asking when she was going to begin sharing ‘more aggressive content’ on the platform.
‘I have sooooo many photos ready for you guys… I’ve just been hurt and sick. Need to schedule them but cannot WAIT for you to see the work @photoshoot.ninja does!!!!!!’ Jenelle responded.
Jenelle launched her OnlyFans account over three years ago and has earned a fortune on the site for adult content.

During a livestream last weekend, Jenelle handed her phone to her friend Tori Rhyne, who read her total aloud: ‘$1,511,578.’
It was not made clear if that is the total the MTV alum has made over three years or if that was her take from the past year.
Tori blurted out about Evan’s ex, ‘David, you f***ing fumbled the bag, bro,’ before telling Jenelle, ‘You’re a millionaire.’
‘You have to think about all the money you’ve made in the past. This is just one little thing,’ Tori reminded her.

This comes after she finalized her divorce from David Eason in June. Jenelle filed for separation from David last year after six years of marriage and accused him of erratic behavior, substance abuse, not working – and even brought up the time he shot their French bulldog, Nugget, in 2019.
Other Teen Mom stars who have done OnlyFans include Farrah Abraham; she has said she ‘millions of dollars a year’ from the site.
In June Evans had a divorce party at New York City‘s infamous Spearmint Rhino.
She even had a very special piñata of her ex-husband’s face made so she could swing the pole at him over and over and over again to mark the end of their turbulent eight year union.
