With the official release of Taylor Swift’s “Life of a Showgirl” album comes new promotional photos.

And a few in particular have caught our eye.

In true showgirl-inspired fashion, we’ve been given the gift of not one, but two photos of Swift in metallic chainmail dresses that fit perfectly into her latest showgirl era.

In one image, Swift sits on a room service cart, leaning against the wall with her foot up on the wall across from her.

Her micro-mini chainmail halter dress is totally sheer, paired with nude fishnet tights and embellished stiletto heels from Jimmy Choo.

In another image, Swift strikes a similar position, this time seated on the floor and leaning against a bed.

In that shot, she’s clad in a similar style studded with pink gems instead of green ones and finished with a dance-floor-ready fringed hem, accessorized with matching pink morganite Duniya earrings and an Alison Lou ring set with a heart-shaped yellow citrine.

Designer Kelsey Randall confirmed on Instagram early this morning that she had crafted both dresses, writing, “It has truly been the honor of my career to design for my favorite artist!”

“Kelsey worked closely with Taylor’s stylist, Joseph Cassell, to create two custom versions of her original, made-to-order dresses, the Celine Gemstone Chainmail Halter Dress and the Crystalline Plexi Rhinestone Chainmail Dress,” Randall’s press release reads.

“These looks celebrate the glamour of the ‘showgirl’ and Taylor’s evolving style.”

The bespoke looks retail for $3,495 and $3,995, respectively.

Swift leans into her album themes with true dedication, featuring several barely-there metallic looks, bustiers, and fringe skirts that catch the light throughout her album promotion and beyond.

She did, however, wear a very different kind of chainmail dress to the 2014 Grammys, donning a long, short-sleeved Gucci gown for the event. Was she perhaps dipping her toe into the new character-to-be?

More recently, Swift opted for a more sheer and modern version of the trend at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards, feeling more confident in her edgier look from David Koma, and took to the stage in 2023 wearing a paillette-covered mini from Paco Rabanne.

We can’t wait to see more of “Showgirl” Taylor Swift as album release day continues.
