Taylor Swift Super Bowl Halftime Show Is “A Maybe” Says Roger Goodell

Will Taylor Swift perform during the halftime show at Super Bowl LX?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told Savannah Guthrie on Today Wednesday that the pop superstar is always welcome.

While not a flat-out yes, Goodell told Guthrie, “We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time.”

When Guthrie asked “Is it in the works?”, a circumspect Goodell replied “I can’t tell you anything about it.”

“Is it a maybe?” asked Guthrie. “It’s a maybe,” Goodell said.

When co-anchor Craig Melvin asked Goodell when we might know the answer, the NFL boss replied he’s waiting to hear from Jay-Z, who produces the Super Bowl halftime shows with his company Roc Nation. “It’s in his hands. I’m waiting for the smoke to come out,” he joked.

Speculation that Swift would perform on the NFL’s biggest stage has been rampant since she and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce announced their engagement last month.

Swifties also took note of a few extremely subtle hints Swift made during her appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, indicating a Super Bowl performance could be in her future. Stay tuned.
