Taylor Swift reveals truth behind raunchy song about Travis Kelce’s manhood

Taylor Swift has spoken out on the controversial song she dedicated to Travis Kelce‘s manhood – admitting she got carried away after starting out ‘in a very innocent place’.

The pop megastar released her new The Life of a Showgirl album on Friday, which includes an overtly sexual track that appears to be about her NFL-star fiance’s private parts.

Strewn throughout the entire song – which is called ‘Wood’ – are lyrics about how the Kelce finally broke her unlucky streak in love. She also mentions his ‘magic wand’, ‘Redwood tree’ and detailed how ‘His love was the key / That opened my thighs.’

Fans were left stunned after working out what the lyrics meant last week, and during her Monday night appearance on The Jimmy Fallon Show, Swift joked that she surprised herself by getting to that raunchy place.

‘So I brought this into the studio and I was like: I want to do a throwback, timeless-sounding song and I had this idea about “I gotta knock on wood” and it would be all these superstitions,’ she explained. ‘And it really started out in a very innocent place… I don’t know what happened, man.

‘I got in there, we started vibing and I don’t know how we got here. But I love the song so much.’

Swift’s song about Kelce’s manhood sparked controversy online last week, with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy left disgusted by the track.

In a video on X, Portnoy, a self-proclaimed Swiftie, said: ‘Gonna snap through it right away and get into the next thing; Life of a Showgirl. I’ve probably listened to it three or four or five times.

‘Without further ado, I have my top five songs from Life of a Showgirl. So here we go Number 5, Honey. I like it. Number 4, Eldest Daughter. Number 3, Life of a Showgirl. Number 2, Fate of Ophelia. And my favorite song on the entire album is Opalite.

‘I think that has a chance to be hit. Very cool song. Happy-go-lucky, dancing through the lightning strikes – I can see myself singing along. Now, there is caveat.

‘I really did like the song Wood the first couple of times I listened to it – it hooks you right away! You know I’m on message boards chopping it up with the Swifties.

‘What is this song about? It’s about Travis’ d***. And then you re-listen and there’s ‘Redwood tree’ and ‘hard rock’. No, I’m not bopping and weaving to a song about Travis’ d***.’

Plenty of fellow Swifties were also taken aback by the astonishingly raunchy lyrics.

While on Fallon’s show the songstress, who revealed her engagement to Kelce in August, also gushed about her soon-to-be husband, calling him her ‘favorite person.’

The Karma hitmaker also showed off her massive engagement ring — which reportedly cost between $700,000 and $1,000,000 — while sharing how the ‘nervous’ Chiefs tight end popped the question to her in his backyard.

Fallon inspected the incredible piece of jewelry on her finger, saying he was ‘blinded’ by it as the singer explained that she looks at the ring ‘constantly.’

Swift then went on to share how Kelce proposed to her right after she recorded an episode of his New Heights podcast.

She recalled him saying ‘my heart’s racing’ and added, ‘I’ve never seen this dude nervous, ever.’
