Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Coordinate for Rare NYC Date Night

Since the October 3 release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, and its accompanying press run, Taylor Swift has kept it relatively low-key, save for under-the-radar appearances at fiancé Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games and a girls’ night out in New York City with close friend Gigi Hadid this week.

Swift and Kelce stepped out hand-in-hand on November 5 for a rare public date night, heading to The Polo Bar in NYC. The newly engaged couple—who announced their engagement in August—matched in coordinated ensembles, Swift in long sleeve bateau neck top from Alaïa, gray wide-leg Stella McCartney suit trousers, a Stella McCartney crossbody bag, and Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier heels. In addition to her engagement ring, Vogue reported she wore an antique opal and diamond ring—the former a likely nod to Kelce’s October birthday—Audry Rose diamond drop earrings, an Audry Rose lock necklace, and a Louis Vuitton band. Swift kept her hair down and straight, and her signature red lip was back after a foray into more orange-toned shades.

Kelce wore a black sweater, khaki green wool suit pants, and black sneakers, accessorizing with two gold and silver Louis Vuitton chains.

A date night in New York City is rare for Kelce when he is in football season, as the tight end is right now—but the Chiefs are on a bye week this week, with their next game not scheduled until November 16 against the Denver Broncos.

While Kelce’s mind is always focused on football during the season, now that Swift’s album release is complete, she’s ready to focus on wedding planning, a source told People.

“She’s been super focused on work commitments,” the insider said. “She’s not kidding when she says she’s exhausted. She’s ready for a break so she can focus on the wedding. She’s very excited about planning the wedding.”
