After making the 60-yarder, Loop received a hug from Head Coach John Harbaugh and a dap-up from Lamar Jackson. The Ravens encouraged crowd noise before Loop’s kicks to better simulate a game-like atmosphere, and fans gave the rookie a standing ovation after his 60-yarder.
“He passed that test with flying colors,” Harbaugh said. “That’s an A+++. On to the next one, and so happy for him. For him to get through that and know, ‘Hey, you know you can do it, and you know how to do it.’ That’s the kind of guy he is. Not surprised but certainly very happy.”
Earlier in the afternoon, the Arizona product was hyping the crowd up and getting even more acquainted with the Baltimore fans.
Loop is the lone kicker on the roster after the team waived undrafted rookie John Hoyland on Saturday. After Sunday’s performance, Loop is now 51-for-55 (92.7%) on field goal attempts in training camp.
