Sydney Sweeney’s First Public Appearance Since American Eagle Controversy

As conservative pundits and Vice President JD Vance decry a few progressives’ knee jerk reaction to the wordplay in Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle ad campaign, the actress has stayed out of the public eye.

Tonight, however, Sweeney appeared in public for the first time since the uproar began. The occasion was a Los Angeles screening of the appropriately-titled Americana, a film she shot in 2022 which is finally being released on August 15.

Sweeney was joined by co-stars Halsey and Simon Rex.
