Supermicro Stock Jumps After Unveiling NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra AI Systems

Sep 12 – Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) shares climbed about 5% on early Friday after the company started high-volume deliveries of its NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra systems and GB300 NVL72 racks.

The new offerings include pre-validated, plug-and-play solutions at the system, rack, and data center scale, enabling rapid deployment for large-scale AI training, real-time AI inference, and multimodal AI applications. Supermicro’s portfolio now features more than ten SKUs supporting NVIDIA Blackwell and Blackwell Ultra GPUs, aimed at enterprise AI factories of various sizes.

Supermicro highlighted that its GB300 NVL72 rack achieves 1.1 exaFLOPS of FP4 compute performance, while the HGX B300 system delivers up to 7.5 times the performance of prior NVIDIA Hopper-based systems. Each GPU supports 270 GB of HBM3e memory, and the solutions integrate NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and optimized infrastructure management.

The company’s Data Center Building Block Solutions leverage advanced air and liquid cooling, high-bandwidth networking, and direct liquid cooling technology to reduce power usage, water consumption, and total cost of ownership.
