The 5-Stripes begin their Leagues Cup participation with some changes to the lineup.
Ronny Deila will make one change to his Starting XI for the first Leagues Cup match of the season, compared to the team that lined up last Saturday against Seattle Sounders for the MLS Regular Season. Jamal Thiaré will be the sole striker replacing Emmanuel Latte Lath, making his fourth start this season and the first one after the away match vs New York City FC. Thiaré has scored three goals so far in MLS competition, and this will be his first time starting in Leagues Cup, following two matches he played last year coming in as a susbtitue.
Atlanta United’s newcomers, defender Enea Mihaj and forward Leo Afonso, are part of the roster which for Leagues Cup includes a total of 22 players.
