Stable One UI 8 update starts rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S23 series

After releasing the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 FE, and the Galaxy S25 in the past couple of weeks, Samsung has now released the update for the Galaxy S23 series. The update is available in Korea and could be released in other countries in the next few days.

Galaxy S23 updated with stable One UI 8.0 (Android 16)

The stable One UI 8.0 update is rolling out now (via @tarunvats33) for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra in South Korea. For beta testers, the update has a file size of around 450MB. For others, the update could have a download size of around 3GB. The new update comes with firmware version S91xNKSU6EYI7 in Korea.

If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and live in South Korea, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is finished downloading, tap the Install now button. The phone will then restart after a few minutes.

The update could be released in other countries over the next few days, and not all countries will get the update on the same day.

One UI 8 is based on Android 16, and it brings several new and improved features, including a more secure version of Secure Folder, a new DeX experience based on Android 16’s Desktop Mode, and a redesigned Samsung Internet web browser. Samsung has also revamped Quick Share.

Alarms, Calendar, and Reminders have also received better management features. Modes and Routines have received new actions and conditions, while the Camera app has received a new gesture to access quick controls. Bluetooth Aurcast audio cast support has been improved and the Weather app has received an improved design with better graphics.
