A former WWE star made their return to TNA Wrestling after a nine year absence from the company at Friday’s Impact tapings in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
After TNA’s live September 4 Impact broadcast at The Armory in Minneapolis, the company returned to the same venue once again for a pair of TV tapings on Friday, September 5.
Taping both the September 18 and 25 episodes of Impact, the company furthered the build to the company’s upcoming Victory Road event on September 26 and Bound for Glory on October 12.
Among the advertised action at the tapings was the ‘Final Negotiation’ between TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys and Team 3D, a segment that saw a stipulation added to their last-ever in-ring meeting at Bound for Glory 2025.
The Hardys and Team 3D were not the only TNA legends to appear however, as a former WWE star also made a surprise return to the company, competing in his first TNA match since 2016.
