SPOILER: Big Title Change On WWE SmackDown

Sami Zayn has won the WWE United States Championship for the first time in his career, defeating Solo Sikoa in the main event of SmackDown. The match was marked by significant outside interference from Sikoa’s allies, which was ultimately neutralized by the arrivals of Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu.

The match saw interference early on when Talla Tonga pulled Sikoa out of the way of a flip dive from Zayn. Following a commercial break, as Zayn gained momentum with a successful dive, Mateo and Loa grabbed Zayn’s legs from ringside and pulled him to the floor. After a brief attack, they threw Zayn back into the ring, where Sikoa hit a Spinning Solo for a near fall.

The odds began to even when Jimmy Uso ran down to confront Sikoa’s faction, but he was quickly overwhelmed by the numbers. Shortly after, Jacob Fatu’s music played, and he emerged from the timekeeper’s area to join the fight. Fatu brawled with Talla Tonga, running him into the ring post. The distraction allowed Zayn to hit a distracted Sikoa with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-count.

As Fatu and Uso continued to fight Sikoa’s allies, the brawl eventually spilled away from the ringside area, leaving the two competitors alone. Sikoa regained control when he caught Zayn on the outside and delivered a Spinning Solo onto the broadcast table just before the final commercial break.

In the concluding moments of the match, Zayn hit an exploder suplex into the corner. He charged in for a Helluva Kick, but Sikoa countered with a superkick. Sikoa then attempted a Samoan Spike, but Zayn ducked the move, causing Sikoa to stumble into the corner. Zayn immediately followed up with a pair of Helluva Kicks and pinned Sikoa for the victory. Following the match, Zayn celebrated on the ropes with his newly won championship as the crowd chanted his theme song.
