Saturday Night Live is setting things up for Season 51, and with the new season comes a cast shakeup that is seeing some of its stars departing.
So far, the actors who have confirmed their exits include Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker, and Emil Wakim, with more announcements expected soon.
Current cast members like Bowen Yang, Chloe Fineman, and Marcello Hernández have taken to social media to share their reactions following the SNL exits.
Longfellow, who shared a post confirming he was leaving the NBC late-night sketch show after three seasons, had some SNL stars and alums in the comments.
Yang replied, “Jesus WAS Chinese. I love you Michael.”
The Las Culturistas podcast host was referring to Longfellow making that claim during one of his interventions on Weekend Update.
Marcello Hernández wrote, “love bro, thank you for letting me cfb whenever, my roommate.”
Emil Wakim, who also is leaving SNL, said, “Yellow room forever u can play as many bones songs as u want.”

Longfellow’s exit also got a reaction from SNL’s Superstar herself, Molly Shannon, who wrote, “You RULE Michael. So honored and happy to have gotten to meet you and work with you. Congratulations on an excellent run on SNL! Loved talking to you when I was there. Wishing you so much continued success.”
Hacks star Hannah Einbinder said, “Michael, you are one of the funniest comedians I know! I love you my pal. So excited for all that will become possible.”

Emil Wakim, who just joined SNL in Season 50 as a featured player, shared news of his departure on social media.
“You’re such a star and I’ll miss sitting next to the best-dressed man at table read,” SNL star Chloe Fineman replied on Instagram.
Former SNL cast member Chris Redd said, “Congrats! You made it to the other side!”

Stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser also replied, adding, “You made a mark on that show that will not be forgotten.”
