Silent Hill 2 Remake release date leaks via Microsoft Store, all but confirming the Xbox version is coming soon

Just days after a new rating on the American Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) hinted that Silent Hill 2 Remake was finally on its way to Xbox, a page that briefly popped up on the Microsoft Store has all but confirmed it.

As spotted by True Achievements, the page – which has since been removed – didn’t list a release date, but after rummaging around in the backend, the site believes the remake will launch on 21st November.

Much like the PC and PS5 versions, players upgrading to the deluxe edition can secure a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and the Pyramid Head pizza box skin, along with a mysterious “Silent Hill f bundle”.

The game is described as optimised for Xbox Series X/S, but the page does not suggest it’ll be playable as a Play Anywhere title.

As for the additional DLC chapter, Born From a Wish, which was briefly an Xbox-exclusive when it released for the original game? There’s sadly no mention of it. The voice actor behind Remake’s Maria recently confirmed she hasn’t been contacted by Bloober to record extra content, either.

I had a thrilling time with Silent Hill 2 Remake, awarding it 5/5, writing: “Against the odds, Bloober Team has delivered a remake that both expands Silent Hill 2 in just the right places, and gives careful attention to what it preserves.” It’s sold about 2.5 million copies, taking sales for the 20+ year old franchise to 10 million.
