Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders took to social media Sunday to express gratitude following his first NFL preseason experience.
In an Instagram post, Sanders wrote, “Thanks everyone for the [love] and support. There’s a lot to learn from this preseason, but I’m really thankful for the opportunity to be out there. Day by day, rep by rep, I’ll keep learning and getting better.”

Sanders shared two photos with his message, one of him interacting with Browns fans — with one holding out his jersey — and a second photo is from a huddle during a preseason game.
The former college standout has drawn attention not only for his pedigree, being the son of football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, but also for the polarizing evaluation that appears to have followed him from college.
This preseason, Sanders completed 17-of-29 passes.
Sanders’ passing yards stand at 152 with two touchdowns and zero turnovers, though he has taken seven sacks.
He has also rushed for 19 yards on four carries.

He will be part of a four-man quarterback room in Cleveland with starter Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.
Sanders, once projected as a first-round draft choice, fell to the fifth round in April before being picked at No. 144 overall by the Browns following a high-profile college tenure at Colorado and Jackson State.
