Seahawks vs. Jaguars NFL TV Week 6 coverage map and FOX commentators

There are only two games on the entire NFL schedule in which both teams are above .500 entering Week 6:

Seattle Seahawks (3-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1)

San Francisco 49ers (4-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1)

The 49ers-Buccaneers is the lead game on CBS at 1:25 pm PT, so they get Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and a huge section of the country tuned in for a matchup that was flexed to the late slot since the Cincinnati Bengals at Green Bay Packers is unlikely to be competitive.

The Seahawks vs. Jags will be on FOX in the singleheader slot, which means only one game will air on the network. It is not the primary game, it’s not the secondary game, it’s not even advertised as one of the top games on the FOX schedule if you go by their television commercial. Nope, the honor of top game goes to the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers. It might be a fun game, and I suppose the Cowboys could dream a bit about an NFC East division title run with the Philadelphia Eagles struggling lately, but it’s still 2-2-1 vs. 2-3. The allure of the Cowboys, I suppose.

506 Sports’ map distribution shows that Seahawks vs. Jaguars will really only be seen in Washington (duh), Oregon, most of Idaho, most of Montana, and a few Floridian markets. From a population standpoint, that ain’t huge. That’s pretty much it. Check out the sea of blue for Cowboys-Panthers compared to the rest of the slate.
