Seahawks Sign LB Alphonzo Tuputala

The Seahawks added to their linebacker depth on Monday, signing Alphonzo Tuputala, an undrafted rookie out of the University of Washington.

Cornerback Kam Alexander was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.

Tuputala, who took part in Seattle’s rookie minicamp as a tryout player, was a three-year starter for the Huskies, and was voted a team captain in 2024. Before joining the Huskies, Tuputala was an All-State linebacker at Federal Way High School. In his three years as a starter, Tuputala totaled 221 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks and one interception. In 2023, he started 14 games for the Washington squad that reached the CFP Championship Game.

Alexander, an undrafted rookie out of Oregon, signed with the Seahawks last month ahead of the start of training camp.
