COLUMBIA, Mo. – Due to forecasted extreme heat in Columbia, and after consultation with the National Weather Service and our public safety partners, Mizzou Athletics has adjusted the start time for Saturday’s home football game against Louisiana. The sold-out game will now kick off at noon CT at Memorial Stadium.
“Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our student-athletes and the game-day experience for our fans,” Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said. “We are incredibly grateful to our fans for their understanding and flexibility as we make this adjustment. With extreme heat in the forecast, especially later in the afternoon, we believe it’s necessary to move kickoff earlier in the day to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for everyone who will be part of Saturday’s sold-out game at Memorial Stadium.”
Digital tickets for Saturday’s game will adjust automatically. Fans are reminded they will be required to enter the stadium on the side where their seats are located to not cause congestion on the south concourse. Ticket scanners will not allow access on the incorrect side.
Fans should monitor MUTigers.com and Mizzou Athletics’ official social media channels for updates regarding game-day operations. Fans are permitted to bring one clear factory sealed water bottle into the stadium that can be refilled by water monsters that are stationed on the east and west concourses.
With Saturday’s time change, Memorial Stadium gates will open at 10 a.m. Fans are encouraged to greet the team as it arrives at Memorial Stadium at Tiger Walk, which will now begin at 9:30 a.m.
