Prince Andrew is in the thick of a royal downfall, but he’s taking ex-wife Sarah Ferguson with him — and it sounds like it’s a stressful situation for her.
The former Duchess of York, who lost her title along with her ex-husband, is realizing that actions have consequences after their long-term association with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“I’m told she has been on the edge of a nervous breakdown,” royal expert Phil Dampier told Woman’s Day. “I can reveal her older sister Jane has recently flown over from Australia to comfort her in the UK.” Reportedly, Ferguson is “in a bad way” and seeking comfort from her sibling.

“She and Andrew know they are to blame, but they still feel they are now being kicked mercilessly when they are down. It’s difficult to see what the future holds,” added Dampier. The royal author’s news comes on the heels of Prince Andrew and Ferguson “in advanced talks” to move out of their beloved Royal Lodge, according to The Guardian.
Between the allegations lobbed by Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, leaked emails between Andrew and Epstein, and the revelation about the former couple’s rent-free life, it’s getting harder and harder for King Charles to be in their corner.
Still, Andrew reportedly believes that his elder brother is just trying to hand over his house to Queen Camilla, per The Telegraph. Charles tried over the last few years to get his younger brother “to downsize and move out” of the palatial estate due to Andrew’s dwindling finances. He offered them Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former residence, Frogmore Cottage, which is renovated and still standing empty after their eviction.
With Ferguson in a delicate state and Andrew having few job prospects, Charles has a moral and ethical dilemma ahead. It’s doubtful that he can use any royal funds to pay out to his brother, given the nature of the sexual abuse allegations. It’s probably going to have to come from his personal fortune as Prince Andrew’s Epstein scandal becomes a major problem for everyone at the palace.
