Samsung teases September 4 event, likely for Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy S25 FE

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 just arrived on store shelves last month, but Samsung’s already gearing up for another launch event next week.

Samsung is teasing a “Galaxy Event” for next Thursday, September 4th, to be livestreamed on the company’s YouTube channel and website at 5:30AM ET. The announcement promises products ranging from “premium AI tablets to the newest member of the Galaxy S25 family.”

While the company has plenty of flagship devices on the horizon — up to and including its XR headset, a tri-fold smartphone, and the entire Galaxy S26 series — presumably, the lack of any “Unpacked” branding points to something a little smaller in both size and scope. Rather than launching any of those, expect next week’s product catalog to mostly focus on the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy Tab S11 series, both of which have seen fairly frequent leaks over the past couple of months.

Based on recent leaks, the Galaxy S25 FE looks like a surprisingly competent pseudo-flagship smartphone, replacing the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the S25+ with an Exynos 2400 but otherwise keeping a lot of its core elements in place. Pricing remains a mystery, but if Samsung can hit the right MSRP — or if carriers can lock in a decent deal over a three-year period — it could be a solid launch right ahead of the holidays.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series doesn’t seem particularly different compared to last year’s lineup, especially if you’re just focused on the 14.6-inch Ultra model. Samsung’s bringing back the 11-inch slate this year while giving the middle-tier 12.4-inch variant a rest. If you’re due for a new slate, these are likely to be the best Android tablets money can buy, but we aren’t expecting much in the way of surprises.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is also due to launch on September 4th for $349, making it the perfect combatant to Apple’s entry-level iPad.

If you’re interested, you can reserve your Galaxy Tab pre-order at Samsung’s website to save $50 off “additional products.” It’s not much, but it’s better than nothing. Reservations must be placed by September 3rd, and orders must be placed between September 4th and October 5th.
