In its latest earnings call, Samsung is once again teasing the arrival of its Galaxy Z TriFold and “Project Moohan” Android XR headset devices which are both still set to launch later this year.
Alongside touting the success of its latest foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, Samsung is teasing what’s next in its latest earnings call. The company has once again teased that, later this year, it will launch a “TriFold” device as well as its first Android XR headset.
In its “outlook for the second half,” Samsung says (via SeekingAlpha) to expect a continued push for its existing devices, but also the launch of two new “innovative form factors,” referring to the TriFold and Android XR headset.
In the MX business, we will drive sales of our premium mobile AI devices, including our newly launched foldables and aim to lead the market by expanding our ecosystem through innovative form factors like the upcoming TriFold device and our first XR headset as well as services such as connected health.
Samsung also teases “services” in connected health, perhaps hinting at some sort of subscription for its fitness platforms.
Later in the call, Samsung reiterates that these devices are launching “this year.”
…Meanwhile, we are also preparing to introduce next-generation innovative products, including our XR headset and TriFold smartphone this year. Our XR headset, which seamlessly integrates the XR ecosystem developed in partnership with Google as well as multimodal AI capabilities will serve as a key stepping stone in solidifying our leadership in future technologies and further expanding the Galaxy ecosystem.
Rumor has it that the Galaxy Z TriFold may launch in October. The earnings call also teases that Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy Tab S11 series are around the corner.
