Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta Program is now live for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6. The two foldable phones have just started to receive the August 2025 security patch in South Korea alongside the Galaxy S24 series.
Back in May 2025, Samsung launched the One UI 8 Beta for the Galaxy S25 series. Three months later, the early access is finally expanding to the company’s premium phones released in 2024, including the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung expands One UI 8 Beta
Samsung’s One UI 8 is a big deal for its 2024 flagship and foldable phones. The major upgrade not only brings UI and functional refinements, but also unlocks the AI features, like Now Bar, which debuted in the S25 series and 2025 foldables.
This year’s foldables were released with the latest OS in a major shift. The Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 boot One UI 8 out of the box. Samsung is expanding its new OS to existing devices, including the S25 and S24 series, as well as Flip 6 and Fold 6.
As for now, the One UI 8 can be installed on the Flip 6 and Fold 6 under the Beta Program. The Beta testing activity is going live in four countries, including India, Korea, the UK, and the US, while public rollout is happening later this year.
Since it’s an early build, you may face issues and battery drain. Also, it’s recommended to take a backup of your device. Post joining the Beta Program, don’t forget to share feedback and report bugs through the Samsung Members app.
How to get One UI 8 Beta?
Joining the One UI 8 Beta Program is free and simple. Just open the Members app (with Samsung Account login) and tap the Beta banner. Proceed with the sign-up process and check the terms and conditions of the Beta Program.
Hitting “Enroll” ensures your entry in the Beta Program, making One UI 8 Beta 1 available on your device. Now comes the OTA installation process. It’s the same as other software updates: open Settings > Software update > Download and install.
