Samsung Galaxy One UI 8 update rollout is expanding quickly

Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout that delivers Android 16 has been well ahead of schedule for a while now, and that’s continuing as older generations are getting access, and while users in the United States are also widely getting updates too.

One UI 8’s rollout started on the Galaxy S25 series last month, and has accelerated quickly to reach a host of other Galaxy devices. Originally, the update was only just barely supposed to be starting its rollout to older Galaxy devices in October, but we’re well ahead of that at this point.

At this point, the update is mainly heading to older generations, as well as seeing wider global rollouts.

The latest updates available are heading out to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, the oldest Samsung foldables eligible for One UI 8. SamMobile notes that the update is available in parts of “Africa, Asia, and Europe.”

Meanwhile, the rollouts for other devices have continued to become more widely available.

The Galaxy S23 series is widely getting One UI 8 in the US market, as is the case for both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. Wider availability for Galaxy A-series devices has also been spotted in Europe. At this point if you have a Galaxy device released in the past couple of years, One UI 8 is probably available!
