Sam Chui has wedding party on Boeing 747-400
Aviation influencer Sam Chui is probably the world’s most well-known aviation vlogger. It’s clear that for him it’s not just a job, but a passion, as just about every aspect of his life seems to center around aviation.
Along those lines, Sam recently got married to Fiona (someone who seems to be nearly as much of an aviation geek as he is), and on Saturday, July 12, 2025, they hosted their wedding party. Specifically, they chartered a Boeing 747-400, and had a party on the ground, and then took the plane for a roughly 95-minute spin.
Specifically, the plane they flew on is based in Fujairah (FJR), on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates. After some festivities on the ground, the plane departed at 6:30PM local time, and flew out straight over the Gulf of Oman, before turning around and returning to Fujairah, where it landed at 8:04PM.
Sam shared the below pictures on Instagram, for the event he’s calling a “Sky Wedding,” and describing it as “the best day of [their] lives.” Congrats to Fiona and Sam!
Honestly, given how expensive weddings typically are, chartering a Boeing 747 as an event space might not even be that much more than what many people would pay on the ground.

For those curious about what Boeing 747 is based in Fujairah, this party took place on the 24-year-old jumbo jet with the registration code ER-BOS. This plane has quite the history — it first flew for Singapore Airlines, then for Transaero, and then Garuda Indonesia.
In recent years, the plane has been flying for Terra Avia, which is a Moldovan charter airline. The plane flies primarily between various points in Nigeria and Jeddah (JED), operating Hajj charter flights, and then repositions to Fujairah between trips. The plane is in a high density configuration, with a total of 476 seats. This includes 26 business class seats and 450 economy class seats.
