We’re now just over a week away from Season 3 of Street Fighter 6 fully kicking off with the release of the first DLC character of the game’s third season pass.
Capcom has now released a new video previewing Sagat’s pre-fight animations for Street Fighter 6, and the big guy is here to intimidate you — and also maybe give you a smile.
While we were somewhat expecting to get the king’s character guide tonight, we’ll have to be satiated with some different content for the character instead.
The clip begins with Sagat’s character select screen animation, which reveals his attributes from the developers with his effective range being long-range and ease of use ranked as easy.
Sagat’s actual animation on the screen has him kicking a hanging log, which he then completely kicks off the screen when chosen, and then squares up against his opponent with his intimidating seven and a half foot tall stature.
We also get to see Sagat’s walk out animation from both sides as well as his Versus screen faces including a surprisingly jovial smile for the usually stoic fighter.
Capcom previously released Sagat’s gameplay trailer, moveset details and his full character theme in the lead up to his release.
The Muay Thai emperor is set to release next week on August 5 alongside the first set of Outfit 4 DLC for Street Fighter 6.
