Welsh actor and writer Ruth Jones is set to appear in a new Netflix drama from US thriller writer Harlan Coben.
Jones, best known for co-creating and starring as Nessa in Gavin and Stacey, will feature alongside Cold Feet’s James Nesbitt in Run Away, an eight-part adaptation of Coben’s novel of the same name.
The series begins on New Year’s Day, with the story relocated from the US to the UK.
It also stars Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, and others, and is Coben’s 13th adaptation for Netflix.
The story follows Simon, a man whose seemingly perfect life falls apart after his eldest daughter goes missing.
When he finally finds her, a violent confrontation sets off a chain of events that exposes deep family secrets.
