Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Return to Beast’s Castle free update arrives on October 1st, 2025, so check out the details below:
A letter from Beast will ask you to return to his castle in search of a charismatic pair.

Note: you will need to have unlocked Belle and Beast, from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, for this new journey.
Help Lumiere and Cogsworth solve eerie occurrences in the castle to unlock this dynamic duo and bring them back to your Valley!
Continue your sleuthing with Lumiere to uncover what is causing trouble in Tiana’s Palace and help Cogsworth get the Valley back in order, to unlock the duo’s stunning Friendship Rewards!
This update will also bring an enchanting new Dream Bundle containing brand new looks for both Belle and Beast. Equipping these outfits will also unlock special interactions between the two when they come across each other in the Valley!
Also arriving in the Premium Shop this update is the Witchy Kitty, a purrrfect companion for the haunting season!
Speaking of haunting season, explore a magical world full of mystical vibes and witchy charm with the Witchful Thinking Star Path. From offering loads of spellbinding furniture options for all your potion crafting needs to bewitching attires!
The Trick or Treat event will be returning from October 15th to October 31st with some exciting changes and a brand-new reward!
Also, starting on October 22nd, a portal to The Haunted Floating Festival will appear in your Valley! You’ll have until November 11th to explore and solve all the puzzles hidden on this magically haunted floating island full of surprises. Different puzzles will unlock over time, and after solving each puzzle, you’ll get an exclusive reward!

Fixed an issue in ‘The Music’s on the Walls’ quest where Peter Can’t be found in Skull Rock.
Fixed an issue in the ‘Create a Bear’ quest where the memory fragment does not show up outside the house in the valley
Fixed an issue where there is a red dot notification on the mailbox but there are no new messages.
Fixed an issue where sharing a photo from the Photo Mode would no longer work.
Fixed an issue where Spring Festival Rapunzel was missing her Dream Sparkles.
Fixed an issue in the ‘Wild, Wild Wishes’ quest where the Stinky Fish item could get stuck in Donald’s house preventing players from picking it up.
Fixed an issue where some items could not be dropped in Expansion biomes.
Fixed an issue in the ‘The Fortress of Saditude’ quest where the Plush Bear Stuffig could spawn in an unreachable place.
Fixed an issue in ‘The Dreamlight Fountain’ quest where it’s possible that picking up the memory wouldn’t progress the quest.
Fixed an issue with the Sense of Self lamp where it was not possible to change the colors.
Fixed an issue in the ‘Imagination Land’ Quest where there wouldn’t be enough Night Thorns to remove.
Fixed an issue where Ancient Gardeners would not water the designated area.
Fixed an issue where some clothing was causing parts of the avatar to become invisble.
Fixed an issue in the ‘Rekindling the Fire’ quest where eve after retrieving the orb the quest wouldn’t progress.
Fixed an issue where a duty requiring the player to cook 4-star desserts actually required 5-stat desserts.
Fixed a Photo Mode issue where the Random Poses button remains on screen when using the Hide UI toggle.
Fixed a Photo Mode issue when changing camera modes, the facial expression resets but the icon does not
Fixed an issue with The Haunted Pipe Organ where there was a visual issue with its VFX in the preview window.
Fixed an issue where the Luminous Dance Flooring visual gets broken when rotated.
Fixed an issue where level art textures become very low resolution in heavily decorated villages on Switch.
Fixed an issue in the ‘A Real Hideout’ quest where Peter Pan will ask the player to pick up a memory that they already picked up.
Fixed an issue with gamepad controls where the player couldn’t scroll down in the furniture menu when there was no item directly under the currently hilighted item.
Fixed an issue where companions may be displayed in incorrect poses when changing quickly between the companion pose options.
Fixed an issue where ther Toontown Fire Station had an incorrect description.
Fixed an issue where the Stone Tree Fireplace was missing a fire VFX.
Fixed an issue with the Orchard Harvest Skirt where it was missing part of its texture.
Fixed an issue where the BBQ cooking station would autofill faster than it should.
Fixed an issue in ‘The Princess Tour’ quest where the player is not told they need to speak with Merida specifically in the Knight’s Trial area.
Fixed an issue where houses placed on the Never Land River kit could not be removed when placed on Floating Islands.
Fixed an issue where the ceiling texture tag can incorrectly appear as a requirment for Daisy Challenges.
Fixed an issue where Sadness’ crying VFX is only played the first time she does the crying animation.
Fixed an issue in the collection menu where Belle’s base Dreamstyle was incorrect.
Fixed an issue where trees and bushes in Mythopia could lose their details even from a small distance.
Fixed an issue where the Gas Stove furniture could incorrectly be both bought from Scrooge Store as well as crafted.
Fixed an issue where players could complete the ‘Earn 5k Dreamlight’ duty using Tiana’s Slow Cooker without making the meals.
Fixed an issue where the free camera mode could be used in several buildings.
Fixed an issue where the baby Pegasus house cannot be bought in the Scrooge Store after being acquired.
Fixed an issue with Timebending where upcycling would not work.
Fixed an issue where the Sadness crying SFX loops if skipping a dialog that triggers it.
Fixed an issue where the Wooden Orchard Chair may not align with the Wooden Orchard Table.
Fixed an issue in the Inside Out realm where a flipper on one of the Memory Wall puzzles has the wrong color.
Fixed an issue where the Memory walls’ flippers can be interacted with for a short while after solving the puzzle, bringing the memory wall back up.
Fixed an issue in Photomode where the Undo/undo all buttons do not work with controller.
